Why do I do what I do?
What an easy answer to give. God gave me the ability to work with children and to understand them. It is my calling to see each child grow every day in my classroom.
Going from, "Ma'am, I can't" to "Ma'am, I can!"
To hear every story, helping them carry their cross, to see their imagination take flight, to see a child's dream, and their love toward one another.
They become like your own; one generation at a time.

Facilities and outdoor activities
Children develop through play.
Our school has, amongst others, a North facing building - purposefully designed to bring nature into the classroom.
The children are blessed with a big garden, playground, jungle gym and swings - all set on a beautiful irrigation farm in the Northern Cape.
Horse therapy
This therapy calmly promotes emotional awareness, emotion regulaton, self control and impulse control.
Horse therapy aids in reducing impulsivity, agitation and irritability.

Optimal nutrition
A child needs adequate nutrition for optimal brain and cognitive functioning.
Teaching children the importance of health and nutrition should be a central part of their curriculum.
Environmental stewardship
For some children, eating or even seeing fresh produce is rare. Through vegetable gardening, children can experience the rewards of fresh produce and the process that bring them to pass.
They are taught the connection between nature, their own food supply, and the pollinators the ecosystem attracts.
Gardening encourages teamwork, individual responsibility, and a commitment to success; as well as making nutritional education practical.

Music
Music builds neural pathways throughout the brain. It increases blood flow to different brain regions.
The limbic system, which processes our emotions and controls our memory, is switched on when our ears percieve music.
